FILE INFO | Caption | Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya, with great pleasure, offered Chaitanya Mahaprabhu prasadam from the Jagannath temple. Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya's son-in-law happened to be a great fault-finder and blasphemer, so Bhattacharya guarded the door to his house with a stick in his hand so the Lord could eat without disturbance. However, as soon as he began distributing prasada to the the Lord and was a little inattentive, his son-in-law, Amogha, came in. Seeing the food, Amogha said, "This much food is sufficient to satisfy ten or twelve men, but this sannyasi alone is eating so much!" Then he fled, and Bhattacharya could not catch him. Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya began to curse his son-in-law, but when he turned around he saw Chaitanya Mahaprabhu simply laughing. Lord Chaitanya tried to pacify Bhattacharya and his wife. He ate the prasada, according to their desire, and He was satisfied. -Summarized from Chaitanya-caritamrita, Madhya-lila 15.244-253 | Headline | Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Pacifies Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya | Copyright Notice | © Copyright The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc.
