FILE INFO
CaptionLord Krishna was away from Dwarka for a considerably long time because of the battle of Kurukshetra, and all the inhabitants of Dwarka experienced melancholy in separation from Him. When the Lord returned, and He reached the border of Dwarka, He sounded His auspicious conch shell, heralding His arrival, and this sound pacified the dejection of the inhabitants. The white conch, being gripped by the hand of Lord Krishna, appeared to be reddened by the touch of His transcendental lips, and it seemed as if a white swan was playing in the stems of red lotus flowers. The citizens of Dwarka ran toward Krishna, eager to have that long desired audience with the Lord, who is the protecter of all devotees.
