| FILE INFO | | Caption | Narada, having become the spiritual master of King Chitraketu, gave him instructions to chant a specific mantra. Chitraketu fasted and chanted the mantra with great care and attention. After a short time, by the influence of the mantra, his mind became increasingly enlightened in spiritual progress. He attained shelter at the feet of the Lord. Upon reaching the shelter of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sesha, Chitraketu saw that He was as white as the white fibers of a lotus flower and was dressed in bluish garments. He was decorated with a brilliantly glittering helmet, armlets and bangles. His eyes were reddish and He smiled sweetly. As soon as King Chitraketu saw the Lord, he was cleansed of all material contamination and situated in his original Krishna consciousness. He offered his respectful obeisances and with tears of love, Chitraketu moistened the resting place of the Lord's lotus feet.
