FILE INFO | Caption | Despite Romaharshana being a brahmana and a disciple of Vyasadeva, he had not become gentle or sufficiently realized. When all the brahmanas present there stood up to honor Lord Balarama, offering Him a suitable seat and worshiping Him, knowing him to be the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Romaharshana remained seated on the vyasasana. Lord Balarama saw that Romaharshana was puffed up. Balarama considered that He had appeared to chastise those who were posing as religious but inwardly had no purity or humility, and whose study of the vedas had become simply an outward dress. He killed Romaharshana by striking him with a blade of grass. | Headline | Balarama Kills Romaharshana With a Blade of Grass | Copyright Notice | © Copyright The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc.
