| FILE INFO | | Caption | After Krishna brought his father back from the abode of Varuna, Nanda Maharaja described all that had happened to the other cowherd men. Nanda Maharaja had been astonished to see how Varuna and his servants had offered such humble respect to Krishna. Hearing this, the cowherd men considered that Krishna must be the Supreme Lord. Their minds were filled with eagerness, and they thought, "Will the Supreme Lord bestow upon us His transcendental abode?" Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, could see what they were thinking and He wanted to show compassion to them by fulfilling their desires. Thus the all-merciful Supreme Lord revealed His abode to the cowherd men. He revealed the indestructible spiritual effulgence and then brought them to the Brahma-hrada. Lord Krishna submerged the cowherd men in that lake called the Brahma-hrada and then lifted them up. From that vantage point, the cowherd men saw the planet of the Absolute Truth. Seeing the transcendental abode, they felt the greatest happiness. They saw Krishna Himself there, surrounded by the personified Vedas, who were offering Him prayers.
