| Caption | Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura Maharaja, a spiritual master in the disciplic succession of Gaudiya Vaishnavas (those following the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu) and the father of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, was the pioneer of the program to spread the message of Krishna consciousness throughout the world. He wrote volumes of books on the pure teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and hundreds of songs glorifying devotional service to Lord Krishna.
