FILE INFO | Caption | In the assembly where mother Sita was to choose her husband, Lord Ramachandra broke the bow belonging to Lord Shiva. The bow was so heavy that it had been carried by three hundred men, but Lord Rama bent it and strung it and broke it in the middle, just like a baby elephant breaks a stick of sugarcane. The Lord, in this way, won the hand of Sita, who was indeed the goddess of fortune. -Taken from Srimad Bhagavatam 9.10.6-7
