FILE INFO | Caption | Gargamuni performed the name-giving ceremony as secretly as possible, as requested by Nanda Maharaja. He informed Nanda Maharaja that Balarama, the son of Rohini, would be very pleasing to His family members and he gave Him three names: Balarama, Sankarshana and Baladeva. Gargamuni then informed Nanda Maharaja that the other boy, Krishna, had taken different bodily complexions in different millennia. He had previously assumed a form in the color white, the color red, the color yellow and now He had come in the blackish color. He told Nanda Maharaja that some people would call Him Krishna and others would call Him Vasudeva. But one thing Gargamuni said they must know that this boy had many many other names and various activities due to his different pastimes. | Headline | Name Giving Ceremony | Copyright Notice | © Copyright The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc.
