FILE INFO | Caption | Seeing the imminent departure of the Yadavas and observing the fearful omens, Uddhava understood that Lord Krishna would soon be departing from earth planet. He approached the Lord in a private place and fell at his feet. Offering prayers with folded hands, Uddhava told Lord Krishna that he could not tolerate giving up His lotus feet for even a moment. He asked Krishna to take him with Him to His eternal abode. Lord Krishna replied that he would indeed be leaving the earth planet, and at that time the earth would be overwhelmed with the age of Kali, bereft of all piety. He advised Uddhava not to remain on the earth. He instructed him to take up a renounced life and remain always conscious of Him. -Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 11 Chapter 6 | Headline | Uddhava Laments His Coming Separation from Krishna | Copyright Notice | © Copyright The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc.
